The anatomy and physiology of an agbako is bizarre, and perhaps closest to sea creatures such as anemones or sea cucumbers. Although they have vital organs, these appear to migrate through the body. Their heads show radial symmetry, and their legs are more like strengthened tentacles than actual jointed appendages. They can soften or harden their skins at will, to the point where their hide can break metal weapons. And they reproduce by budding. An agbako will grow a handful of juveniles throughout its lifetime, which grow on their backs nestled in tentacles, and then abscise off and live separately following a gestation of several years.
Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by and torn between two best friends: Jem, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm's length...everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world... and that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.
Tessa is restrained and tied to her bed but breaks her bindings by Changing into the Emma again. Sensing someone outside, Tessa hides behind the door and injures the intruder: Will Herondale, whose investigation of the Pandemonium Club led him to the Dark House. After a confusing first introduction, including Will cursing at her, quoting poetry, and comparing himself to the fictional character, Sir Galahad, Will declares that he will help Tessa escape. The Dark Sisters catch up and a battle breaks out. Two other Shadowhunters who came with him arrive and join the fight, in which Mrs. Black is killed and Tessa is knocked unconscious.
Since it was the same night when de Quincey is supposed to strike, most of the Shadowhunters leave to kill de Quincey in his hideaway in Chelsea. Mortmain, the mundane who informed the Shadowhunters of de Quincey, visits the Institute to tell Will and Jem about the Dark sister who is trying to help the Magister in resurrecting his army and also told them about her location. They rush off to kill her, leaving Nate, Jessamine, and Tessa alone with Sophie, Agatha, and Thomas in the Institute.

Unlike most action games, stealth games challenge the player to avoid alerting enemies altogether.[1] The core gameplay elements of the modern stealth game are to avoid combat, minimize noise, and strike enemies from the shadows.[2] There are usually multiple ways to achieve a goal with different pathways or styles of play.[1] Some games offer a choice between killing or merely knocking out an enemy.[1][3] Players can hide behind objects or in shadows,[1][4] and can strike or run past an enemy when the enemy is facing the other way.[4] If the player attracts the attention of enemies, they usually must hide and wait until the enemies abandon their search.[5] Thus, planning becomes important,[1][4] as does trial-and-error.[1][6] However, some stealth games put more emphasis on physical combat skill when the player is spotted.[5]
In 2007, Assassin's Creed employed a social element to the stealth game, where the player is able to hide among crowds of civilians by taking care to blend in.[48] The same year, Crytek's open world first-person shooter Crysis incorporated stealth elements within its gameplay, as did the multiplayer first-person shooter Team Fortress 2 the same year and the first-person role-playing game Fallout 3 the following year.[12] In 2008, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PlayStation 3)[49] introduced a battlezone element, where the stealth gameplay is incorporated into a battlefield fought between two armies, both of which can be infiltrated by Solid Snake.[13] In 2009, Assassin's Creed II broadened its predecessor's elements of stealth by allowing the player to blend among any group of civilians, rather than specific ones. Assassin's Creed II also allowed the player to distract guards by tossing coins or by hiring thieves and courtesans, and also featured a notoriety level, which made the player more recognizable until they paid off officials or tore down wanted posters.[50]
In 2000,[9] Fox's adopted sister Naomi Hunter joined FOXHOUND as Dr. Clark's assistant. She helped Fox escape his containment in 2003,[9] and summarily covered up his actions when he later killed Dr. Clark, reporting it as a laboratory accident.[38] Fox had actually been used to kill Clark by Big Mama, who had previously recruited Naomi into her organization, as part of a power struggle between opposing factions of the Patriots.[34] Naomi then falsely reported Fox's death during the supposed accident, and helped him hide out. However, the entire ordeal had left Fox's mind unstable, causing a rapid deterioration of identity.
Freya catches Pennyroyal secretly broadcasting a radio message asking for someone to come and get him off of Anchorage, and he subsequently admits to her that his claims of traveling to America were all lies. Arkangel chases Anchorage, leading to the Huntsmen led by Masgard capturing Anchorage and leaving it helpless on the ice to be eaten. Tom and Hester return to the city, where Pennyroyal has evaded capture. Hester sends Tom to hide, and later liberates the inhabitants, killing Masgard and the Hunstmen in the process. Tom confronts Pennyroyal, who knows that Hester sold Anchorage to Masgard, but doesn't tell Tom. Attempting to scare Tom off, Pennyroyal accidentally shoots Tom in the chest. He then steals the Jenny Haniver and escapes. Arkangel still pursues Anchorage, but becomes trapped over thin ice, leading Anchorage to drift on the ocean on an ice floe.
