Bears Battle it Out in St. Louis

The Coast Guard Academy competed at the ACHA National Championship in St. Louis over the weekend. It was Coast Guard's first appearance in the national championship.


Coast Guard led the #1 team in the nation, Hope 2-1 before falling 3-2 in the opening round. IN the second game, the Bears lost to #8 Central Michigan 6-3 and closed the tournament with a 4-0 loss to #9 Iowa State to finish the season with a record of 13-7 overall.


Junior Frank Linso led the team in points with three goals and an assist. Senior Connor Gallagher and freshman Kyle Jacobson also scored for the Bears.


Freshman Stone Grant had a .881 save percentage. He was spectacular against #1 Hope as he registered 43 saves.
